Reese Witherspoon's Company Teams With Bumble, Baileys for a Queer Short Film

As part of a series of "Meet Cute" short films, Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine has teamed with the dating app Bumble and Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur to create a sweet rom-com featuring and about queer women from out writer and director Carly Usdin (Suicide Kale).

The short, First Date, runs just over 10 minutes and stars out actors Shalita Grant (Search Party) and Shannon Woodward (Raising Hope, Westworld) as women who match on Bumble but who must overcome distance to see if they're truly compatible.

First Date also features other LGBTQ+ actors including Vico Ortiz, Gaby Dunn, Brittani Nichols, and Amin El Gamal.

"We are thrilled to support these incredibly talented emerging filmmakers," Head of Brand Partnerships at Hello Sunshine Zoe Fairbourn said, according to Deadline. "Hello Sunshine is excited to usher in a new era of modern romcoms and are so grateful to Baileys and Bumble for their partnership in bringing this smart, fun series to life, and for their continued support in our mission of telling stories that put women at the center."

The other shorts in the "Meet Cute" series are directed by women and feature Bianca Lawson and Jess Weixler.
