Right wing Christian preacher Alex McFarland blames same-sex marriage and abortion for the senseless murders of 14 people in a California social services center.

Alex McFarland is a conservative Christian speaker and religious right pundit who rose to fame with his declaration that "homosexuality is psychologically destructive behavior." Now McFarland says God let Tashfeen Malik and Syed Rizwan Farook slaughter 14 innocent people in San Bernardino, Calif. this week because same-sex marriage and abortion are legal in the U.S., according to Right Wing Watch.

While the FBI investigates terrorist links to the couple, McFarland believes a woman's right to choose abortion and the Supreme Court's ruling on marriage are really to blame:

"People are saying, 'Why didn't God prevent this?'" McFarland said on the Christian network Dove TV's "Focus Today" Thursday program. "Look, we've for 45 years told God to leave us alone. Fifty-seven to sixty million babies aborted, now our Supreme Court has deviated from natural law to case law and we've redefined marriage ... God forgive us for the murder of the unborn, God forgive us for kicking prayer out of public schools, God forgive us for making sodomy mainstream and redefining marriage.

McFarland, who blogs for the anti-LGBT American Family Association -- named as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center -- also joined the long discredited bandwagon of critics who claim President Obama refuses to fight radical Islam because he is secretly a Muslim.

"In my heart, I'm going to be honest with you, I suspect he is a Muslim," McFarland said. "I really do."
